Guillaume GALLASSO - Director of IT Operations.
Tell us about the history with the association and the construction of the project.
"Since their retirement (about 7 years ago), my parents have been volunteering at the Red Cross and helping out in an ephad. Every weekend, they will visit the residents.
However, most volunteers come on weekends, which means that the week is less lively.
So we asked ourselves what we could do at our level to improve their daily lives.
After a brainstorming session, we thought of a tool that could bring joy and animation to the structure, and that's how the idea of an interactive terminal came to us!
The latter is multi-purpose and allows you to do karaoke, listen to songs, go on the Internet, or have fun with quizzes and games.
After proposing the project to the foundation, the file was selected. A celebration was organized within the ehpad to inaugurate the intercative terminal. My parents, the Secretary General of the Red Cross, the Director General of Ehpad and Humanis and myself were present for the event.
Thanks to this action, the foundation has increased its visibility by getting the word out in the local newspaper and on the Internet! But above all, one thing has been achieved: to please the seniors and provide entertainment every day of the week. »

"I really followed the project from the idea to the realization. For that, I helped to formalize the project, to frame it. I then managed the administration with the company that provided the terminal (MELO).
Afterwards, I had many exchanges with the Red Cross to reassure them that it was a donation and that there would be no financial compensation.
I also followed the installation of the terminal and all the associated logistics.
Finally, I represented the project before the foundation, i.e. explain the file internally to give it meaning and show what this project will bring to the lives of the residents! »
What it has brought you personally, humanely
"I really enjoyed contributing to this project because it brings a lot of happiness and joy to the ephad. It's really nicer for seniors to have something to enjoy.
This experience also allowed me to get closer to my parents by building a solidarity project together! »

Human, surpassing yourself, smiling because it's priceless
One last thing?
"The foundation is not Damartex, it's not the employees, it's much more than that! We intervene in people's lives "[/vc_column_text][/vc_row]
