Clara Varin, patron of the association À Vélo Sans Âge

  • What is the association you sponsor? How do you know it?

The association I sponsor is À Vélo Sans Âge, the Lille branch to be precise. The association has several branches all over France and two volunteers who met on the facebook group "cycliste à Lille" decided together to launch the one in Lille.

It was Perrine Bruggeman who told us within the company that this association was looking for a sponsor. As a cyclist myself, owning a two-wheeler and wishing to sponsor one of the projects of the on senor side foundation, I decided (convinced by Perrine) to support AVSA Lille.

  • In a few words, how does the Foundation help the association?

The association's credo is the right to wind in the hair and light in the eyes. It offers rides in a tripoteur, piloted by a volunteer, to elderly people living in retirement homes. The Foundation has enabled the association to acquire new ones this year.

  • If you could describe your experience with the association in one or two sentences:

It is both a human approach that creates an enriching inter-generational link, but also an opportunity for the elderly to get out of the walls and enjoy the fresh air at the pace of cycling. And in an ecological way.
