On December 9, 2022, we went to the Pévèle residence in Cysoing. A first meeting had taken place in July, but it is only on December 9, 2022 that the establishment was inaugurated.

A new establishment with a garden of activities and scents,

In June 2022, the retirement home called on the Foundation to help them with the development of their facility and in particular their garden. There is a participatory, healthy, productive and aesthetically pleasing vegetable orchard. The purpose of this garden is to allow seniors to walk around, do adapted physical activitý, exchange, get to know each other between residents, families, inhabitants of the commune. The Foundation has financed the creation of a pathway to fight against the loss of mobility. Seniors come, when the weather allows it, to walk in this landscaped garden while remaining in safety.

An inauguration for a new EHPAD

The garden is not the only novelty. In fact, La résidence Pévèle is very recent. The mayors of Cysoing and Templeuve-les-Pévèle have taken into account the challenge of the aging population at the heart of territorial development. This is the reason why they merged the two EHPADs in order to gather all the residents in a single, more modern and better fitted out place.

On December 9, the mayors of the two cities, Benjamin Dumortier and Luc Monnet, the president of the Caisse nationale de solidarité pour l'autonomie (CSNA), Jean-René Lecerf, and the deputy Charlotte Parmentier-Lecocq cut the ribbon.

The future of the nursing home

During this inauguration, it was announced that the residence will open six new rooms for people with Alzheimer's disease in early 2023. A team of 70 agents is present to help these residents. The Pévèle medicalized retirement home is very concerned about the well-being of seniors and we are proud to be able to support them.

3PAGEN is generous,

The Damartex Group's 3Pagen brand was generous to the residence. As Afibel had done in July, the German brand offered jewelry for the small in-house store. This store allows the resident to buy once a week a piece of clothing, a decoration, a piece of jewelry or other. This allows people who can no longer move to still treat themselves with new acquisitions.
