The Alzheimer Society is an organisation that fights dementia. It affects over a million people in the UK. That's why the Foundation has supported the charity to give carers the opportunity to feel supported and listened to.

Dementia is a disease that can affect memory, language and behaviour. The Foundation has therefore enabled 1000 people to benefit from the Dementia Connect service created by the Alzheimer Society. The service provides support for people with dementia (or their relatives) to cope with the disease. Available seven days a week in the UK, Dementia Connect can offer advice on how to live with dementia, make the home suitable, provide emotional support, help navigate local services etc.

"Receiving funding from the OSS Foundation means: potentially helping over 1,000 older people. An older person may need one call to support them or several, depending on their personal situation.

Members of the Alzheimer Society and Damart UK have organised numerous fundraising events for people with dementia and their families. These donations, in addition to the Foundation's, help patients feel supported during this difficult time. If you would like to support the charity: click here
