The association : The Association for the Protection of the Elderly in Tunisia provides material, medical and moral support to lonely seniors in the Zaghouan region.

The supported project: Support Winter 21
APPA (the association for the protection of the elderly) of Zaghouan is an association that aims to provide support and care for the elderly without support in the region of Zaghouan.
Currently it takes care of 150 elderly people. The people taken in charge are often without family support and live in a

by the association are the following:

  • Medical visits: a volunteer doctor makes a round every Tuesday and
    and provides consultation to about thirty people.
  • Basic foodstuffs: the association distributes basic foodstuff packs according to
    according to the collections made.
  • Medication: distribution of medication for chronic diseases
    (diabetes, high blood pressure, etc...)
  • Paramedical equipment: distribution of wheelchairs, canes, etc...
  • Various accessories: distribution of mattresses, blankets for the winter, etc.

Through this project, the Foundation finances the purchase of paramedical equipment (wheelchairs, canes, air mattresses)
wheelchairs, canes, air mattresses) and measuring equipment (blood pressure and blood sugar
glucometers) for 40 senior beneficiaries.
